State Senator Victoria Spartz (R-Noblesville), who is currently running for a seat in Congress from Indiana’s 5th District, has signed a term limits pledge and says she will self-impose a maximum three term or less term limit on herself.
“I believe in term limits and will limit my term in Congress to a maximum of six years or less,” Spartz said. “I love our republic and would be honored to represent the 5th District, if people decide so, but I honestly believe that politics was never meant to be a career, but a temporary tour of duty for society. Every politician should have to go back to live the laws he or she created. Also, this service takes an enormous amount of energy to get anything done. I will work hard for our district and our country to deliver value and results to my constituents, but other people will have to step up next to bring their skills and abilities to the table too.”
In a recent press release, U.S. Term Limits (USTL) President Philip Blumel said, “America is in trouble. Our career politicians have let the people down. It is time to return control of our nation to the people.”
