The second annual Spark!Fishers festival, ignited by First Internet Bank, returns June 28 and 29 to the Nickel Plate District in the heart of downtown Fishers. The community celebration is packed full of family favorites and Independence Day traditions, while showcasing what it means to be uniquely Fishers.
Leading up to the Spark!Fishers weekend, a free concert featuring the Jazz Ambassadors, the United States Army Field Band, will be held at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 27 in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater for a fun, family-friendly preview to the weekend’s festivities.
The Spark!Fishers weekend kicks off at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 28 with a free concert featuring national recording artists Vertical Horizon and Tonic in the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The concert is free, but tickets are required. Tickets are available through ticket stops and giveaways hosted by the City of Fishers and 107.9 The Mix.

- 5 to 6 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21 at the shelter at Brooks School Park
- 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, June 4 at the My Yellow Rickshaw concert at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater
- Noon to 1 p.m. on Wednesday, June 5 at the Kelly Isenhower concert on Central Green
- 6 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 6 at Allisonville Nursery (hosted by 107.9 The Mix)
- 5 to 6 p.m. on Friday, June 7 at Allisonville Nursery (hosted by 107.9 The Mix)
- 1 to 2 p.m. on Saturday, June 8 at Allisonville Nursery (hosted by 107.9 The Mix)

The festival continues Saturday, June 29 with an all-day celebration honoring our freedom and vibrant community. New features this year include Veterans’ Hall, a tribute to our local heroes in the Fishers City Hall Auditorium; three entertainment stages; an extended street fair; and a second street festival on North Street opening Saturday afternoon and continuing the party into the evening.
The schedule of events on Saturday includes:
Spark!Fishers 5K Walk/Run – 8 a.m.
Brought to you by the Fishers YMCA and the Geist Half Marathon, the Spark!Fishers 5K Walk/Run returns with a new course through the Nickel Plate District. All ages are welcome for this certified 5K race and each finisher will receive a race shirt and medal. A Half-K Fun Run for kids ages 11 and under that will take place at 7:30 a.m. Click here to register.
Fishers Farmers’ Market presented by IU Health Saxony – 8 a.m. to noon
Shop the award-winning market and pick up local produce, baked goods, and prepared foods from over 50 full and part-time vendors. Don’t forget to swing by the artisan marketplace while you’re visiting.
Street Fair – 8 a.m. to 10 p.m.
This year’s street fair has been expanded, kicking off first thing in the morning with the 5K and Fishers Farmers’ Market and continuing the celebration into the evening. Stroll the Municipal Complex and enjoy more than 100 vendors, live entertainment on three stages, an artisan market, The Art Gallery at City Hall, Veterans’ Hall in the City Hall Auditorium, a Kid Zone, Teen Hangout and a Sensory-Friendly Space. The entertainment lineup features performances by Xgeneration, Zach Day, Jai Baker, Toy Factory, Cook & Belle, DARK for Parade, An Innocent Band, Andrew Young Band, Michael Beck and Tim Brickley, local community groups and performers and more.
North Street Festival – 3 to 10 p.m.
The party picks up at 3 p.m. when a second street festival opens on North Street. Enjoy live entertainment from the stage outside of Four Day Ray, sip on craft beers from local brewers and carry the celebration into the evening.
Parade – 7 p.m.
Experience the spark of our community with a patriotic parade through the Nickel Plate District. The parade begins at the corner of Lantern Road and Commercial Drive and will end at Holland Park.
Fireworks – 10 p.m.
Cap off the evening with a dazzling fireworks display launched from Holland Park. Viewing locations include the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater and Municipal Complex.
In the event of inclement weather, the afternoon Street Festival, Fireworks and Parade will be moved to Sunday, June 30.
