Southeastern girls smoke Shamrocks

The Hamilton Southeastern girls won a Hoosier Crossroads Conference and all-county game over Westfield 51-17 Friday at the Royals’ gym.

Southeastern led 13-3 after one quarter and 25-7 at halftime. Maya Makalusky poured in 26 points for the Royals, also collecting nine rebounds. Kennedy Holman added 12 points and five rebounds, while Kayla Stidham pulled six rebounds. Kayla Brinley made four steals.

MaKayla Hatcher scored eight points for the Shamrocks.

The Royals are 6-0 in HCC play and 19-0 overall. Southeastern plays its conference finale next Friday at Zionsville. Westfield is 3-3 in the conference and 14-7 overall; the ‘Rocks host Brownsburg next Friday to finish their HCC schedule.
