Hamilton Southeastern’s boys cruised to a 57-42 victory over Brebeuf Jesuit Friday in a home game.
The Royals got their offense going early with an 18-point first quarter, then held a 23-8 advantage early in the second period. The Braves cut that advantage to 27-20 by halftime and were within 44-37 after three periods. But Southeastern stepped up its defense in the fourth quarter, where it allowed Brebeuf only five points.
Lucas Weemer nailed four 3-pointers on his way to 14 points, with Braeden Totten also scoring 14 points. Landon Osswald came off the bench to score 11 points. Jack Jacobs led the rebounds with five, Maverick Young dished out four assists and Totton made five steals.
The Royals are 2-2 and play this afternoon at Christel House.
