Hamilton County was well-represented Friday night at the 56th annual Indiana Football Coaches Association North South All-Star Game, which took place at Ben Davis High School.
All county players participated on the South team, which beat the North team 14-0 by scoring two first-half touchdowns.
Among the players were Carmel linebacker Jackson Reece, who forced a strip fumble, then recovered the ball in the first quarter; his play gave the South team the ball and would lead to its first touchdown. Fishers free safety Dawson Scally and Noblesville offensive lineman Jake Etchison also played for the South team.
Mount Vernon quarterback Gehrig Slunaker was named the Most Valuable Player at the end of the game. Slunaker threw touchdown passes for both of the South team’s scores.
