With summer slowly approaching, Sogility’s outdoor turf adds more space to host training sessions, leagues and other events.
The outdoor turf is 18,000 square feet. It was installed on the backside of Sogility’s 13,000-square-foot indoor facility, which was finalized in August 2022.
“Adding the outdoor space will add to our abilities to help train players. We look forward to adding new programming to utilize the additional space, finishing and goalkeeper training,” states the CEO of Sogility, Jimmy Carson.
A 6v6-style field is an excellent entry point for coaches to teach players about formations. Goalkeepers have more opportunities to practice facing crosses and aerial balls than they do in 5-a-side games.
From June 19 through July 28, the turf will host Sogility’s 6v6 High School Outdoor Leagues. The three separate leagues are boys Tuesday nights, girls Thursday nights and co-ed Friday nights.
