The Fishers softball team’s historic season came to an end on Saturday, as the Tigers lost to Crown Point 9-2 in the semi-finals of the Harrison semi-state.
The Bulldogs got on the board first with a run in the first inning, then scored four in the third inning. Fishers scored both of its runs in the bottom of the third, when Olivia Latimer’s left field hit brought in Olivia Stenson and Brooke Benson.
Benson finished the game 2-for-3, including a double. Hannah Mays pitched a complete game, tossing six strikeouts.
The Tigers finished their season with a 17-10 record, which included a second sectional title and the program’s first-ever regional crown.
