The IHSAA announced the sectional pairings last Sunday for its annual state tournament.
Hamilton County’s Class 4A schools will compete in Sectional 8 at Fishers during the week of May 26. Hamilton Southeastern and Noblesville will play each other in the first round, followed by a game between Westfield and Zionsville.
Fishers plays the HSE-Noblesville winner in the first semifinal, while Carmel will take on the Westfield-Zionsville winner in the second semifinal.
In Class 3A, Hamilton Heights plays in Sectional 24 at Delta. The Huskies received a bye into the second semifinal and play the winner of a first-round game between Jay County and Delta. New Castle and Yorktown play the first opening-round game, with the winner taking on Connersville in the first semifinal.
Guerin Catholic will compete in Sectional 25 at Lebanon. The Golden Eagles play the host Tigers in the first round, with the winner to play Frankfort in the first semifinal. Crawfordsville and Brebeuf Jesuit will face off in the second opening-round game, with the winner taking on Danville in the second semifinal.
Sheridan was to play in Class 2A Sectional 39 at Elwood, but has withdrawn from the tournament.
