The Fishers softball team won a close Hoosier Crossroads Conference and all-county game at Westfield on Tuesday.
The Tigers won 1-0, scoring the lone run in the fifth inning. Jenna Grubb sent a single to center field and brought Azstryd Alexander home. Grubb went 2-for-3 at the plate, while Kendall Jordan hit a double.
Both teams only had three hits for the game. Kate Murray was the winning pitcher, with five strikeouts.
Fishers beat Lawrence North 5-3 Monday. Taylor Duplessis doubled in Tori Abel for a second-inning run, then Grubb led off the third inning with a triple and later scored on a passed ball. Brooke Johnson drove in Grubb in the fifth inning, then Kate Murray hit a center field home run to score both herself and Johnson.
Grubb finished with two hits, including a double. Liv McNall won in four and a third innings of relief; starter Murray threw five strikeouts in two and two-thirds innings.
Westfield fell to New Palestine 6-1 on Monday. MaKayla Watson scored a first-inning run on Chloe Tanner’s RBI fielder’s choice. The Dragons tied the game in the fourth inning, then scored five more runs over the next two innings. Ava Kainrath had two hits.
The Tigers are 1-1 in conference play and 8-4 overall; they host Yorktown Thursday. Westfield is 5-4 and plays Caston Friday to start play in the Kokomo Tournament.

Hamilton Heights started the week with two victories. The Huskies beat Bishop Chatard 7-1 on Monday and Tipton 12-5 in a Tuesday Hoosier Conference East game.
Heights delivered six hits to beat the Trojans. Addie Doak had two of those hits and batted in two runs. Lily Roush pitched a complete game, striking out seven and allowing just four hits.
The Huskies had to battle with the Blue Devils at first but scored six runs in the bottom of the fourth to take control of the game. Lily Cash batted in three of those runs with a double, then Roush’s left field hit scored Cash. Kamryn Rhoton was next, and she blasted a center field home run to bring both her and Roush home.
Cash totaled two doubles and four RBIs. Taya Trosper and Morgan Ottinger both had two hits, while Isabel Morrow hit a double. Ottinger and Roush both had two RBIs. Cash got the complete-game win, striking out eight.
Heights is 5-3 and plays at Tipton today to finish the series.

Carmel rolled past North Central 15-5 in six innings on Tuesday.
The Greyhounds took control early with five runs in the top of the first inning. Jayden Kleiner batted in four runs, including an RBI double in the third inning. Kleiner was immediately sent home by Mia Fleming’s center field double; Kleiner scored three runs for the game and was 3-for-5 at the plate.
Paxton Law and Grace Sharp also hit doubles for Carmel, Sharp was 2-for-3 with three RBIs. Alex Longstreth had three hits and scored two runs. Kayden Dierks and Kathryn Merryman both scored two runs. Emily Smith got the pitching win.
The ‘Hounds are 4-6 and host Pendleton Heights tonight.

Hamilton Southeastern picked up a win at Avon Tuesday, beating the Orioles 7-4 in the Royals’ HCC opener.
Southeastern blasted off in the third inning with six runs. Emmy Sefferlein scored the first run, then Reece Garland sent a grand slam into center field, also scoring Addi Justice, Jenna Chase and Chloe Smith. Keira Lodes followed that with a solo home run to left field.
Smith scored again in the fifth inning when Sayla Stock brought her home with a sacrifice fly. Garland finished the game with two hits and Lani Wyrick hit a double. Grace Swedarsky struck out nine in a complete-game effort.
The Royals are 8-2 and play Thursday at Lawrence North.

Noblesville rebounded from a tough Monday loss to Harrison to beat Franklin Central Tuesday for an HCC win.
The Millers fell to the Raiders 10-0 in six innings. Harrison held Noblesville to four hits, one each for Gabby Fowler, Izzy Zapp, Makayla Jacuqay and Haley Schatko.
The Millers got their bats going early against the Flashes, scoring four runs in the second inning. Mack Harvey led off the inning with a home run, then Jacquay doubled and later scored on a Schatko single.
Jacquay counted two doubles in her 2-for-3 night. Reese Newsom was 3-for-4, including a double. Newsom and Addi Emmerson both batted in two runs. Harvey, Jacquay, Bella Hughes and Newsom all scored two runs. Claire Cullen pitched a complete game for the win, with four strikeouts.
The Millers are 3-0 in conference play and 6-2 overall. Noblesville plays Thursday at Western.

Sheridan fell to Elwood 18-8 in six innings on Monday.
Maelei Casler and Mac Smith both had two hits for the Blackhawks, with Smith driving in three runs.
The Blackhawks are 2-5 and host Clinton Prairie today in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.

Guerin Catholic dropped a 15-6 Circle City Conference game to Heritage Christian on Tuesday.
Kate Brady, Lucy Kemp and Emily Powers all had two hits for the Golden Eagles, with Powers batting in two runs. Anna Mauch hit a double, while Kemp scored two runs. Rilee Kluesner threw five strikeouts in six innings.
Guerin Catholic is 0-5 and plays at Bishop Chatard this afternoon.
