The Hamilton Southeastern softball team cruised to a 12-2, five-inning win over Anderson Monday.
Makena Burlingame had two hits and scored three runs, while Maya Valenta hit a double and drove in three runs. Chloe Smith scored two runs. Kaleigh McCarter pitched four innings for the win, striking out five and allowing no hits.
The Royals are 14-6 and host Westfield at 6 p.m. this evening in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game; the contest was scheduled for Tuesday but was pushed back due to weather.

Fishers beat Carmel 12-0 in a Monday game at Cherry Tree Softball Complex.
The Tigers led 9-0 after five innings and scored three in the seventh. Kate Murray and Brooke Clayton both hit home runs; Clayton also hit a double and totaled four RBI. Murray hit her three-run homer in the third inning, after Clayton homered in the second.
Hailey Kinder hit two doubles, with Frankie Jackson and Kennedy Shockley both hitting one double. Shockley finished with two hits and Kinder batted in two runs. Murray scored three runs and Rylee Bast scored two runs.
Murray pitched three innings for the win, striking out five and allowing no hits. Jackson pitched four inning in relief.
The Greyhounds were held to two hits, one each from Jayden Kleiner and Ellie Goddard.
Fishers is 12-7 and hosts New Palestine at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon. Carmel is 5-16 and hosts Terre Haute North on Friday.

Noblesville sailed past Yorktown 9-1 on Monday.
Haley Schatko hit a two-run double in the first inning, scoring Brookelyn Grayson and Reese Newsom. Maggie Kern led off the second inning with a home run, then Izzy Zapp doubled to center field, scoring Delaney Rundle and Bella Hughes and giving the Millers a 5-0 lead.
Addi Emmerson blasted a three-run homer in the fourth inning, also scoring Schatko and Newsom. Carly Duvall scored a run in the sixth inning.
Schatko totaled three hits, with Rundle, Zapp, Emmerson and Kern all getting two hits. Addison Retzinger pitched a complete game, striking out nine.
Noblesville is 14-6 and play at Roncalli at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon. The Millers’ game with Brownsburg originally scheduled for Tuesday has been moved to Thursday due to weather.

Westfield took care of Pendleton Heights 14-6 on Monday.
The Shamrocks had 15 hits, including a three-run home run from Ava Kainrath in the third inning. Kainrath finished with two hits and totaled five RBI. Cam Pulice hit a solo homer in the sixth inning, part of a 3-for-4 night.
Chloe Tanner went 3-for-3 and drove in four runs. Makayla Watson, Sofia Easterhaus, Kainrath and Annika Lawrence all had two hits, with Easterhaus, Pulice, Lawrence and Reese Gettinger all scoring two runs. Tanner pitched three innings for the win.
Westfield is 10-8 and plays at Hamilton Southeastern at 6 p.m. this afternoon.

Hamilton Heights dropped a Hoosier Conference game 7-3 at Logansport on Tuesday.
The Berries led 4-0 after two innings. The Huskies scored two runs in the second inning: Isabel Morrow got home when Hailey Hall reached on an error, then Hall scored on Kamryn Rhoton’s RBI groundout. Rhoton doubled in Hall for a fifth-inning run.
Hall had two hits, including a triple.
The Huskies are 10-8 and host Logansport at 6 p.m. this evening to complete the conference series.

Guerin Catholic dropped a 6-0 game to Danville on Monday.
The Golden Eagles were held to two hits, one each from Madi Cain and Lucy Kemp.
Guerin Catholic is 6-9 and hosts Pike at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon.
