Hamilton Southeastern overwhelmed Richmond 14-1 Wednesday in a five-inning game at the Red Devils’ field.
The Royals took control with seven runs in the second inning. Jordan Rager and Kaelin Wincek both hit two-RBI singles in that inning. Ava Aguilar and Nicole Lang both doubled in runs in the third inning, and Wincek cracked a two-run triple. Kennedy Morgan tripled in a run in the fifth inning.
Abby Taylor and Aguilar both had three hits, while Lang, Lillian Leiner, Wincek and Libby Ratliff all had two hits. Wincek totaled four RBI, with Aguilar and Rager driving in two runs each. Olivia Bucher pitched four innings for the win.
Southeastern is 9-7 and plays Saturday morning at Fort Wayne Carroll.

Tigers fall to New Palestine
Fishers lost to New Palestine 13-6 in a Wednesday home game.
The Dragons scored eight runs in the third inning and held the lead from there. The Tigers did get three runs back in the bottom of the third when Brooke Benson hit a three-run home run. Olivia Stinson and Courtney James also scored.
Kaylee Kardash homered in the fourth inning, and James led off the fifth inning with a home run. Hannah Mays singled in Stinson in the seventh inning.
Stinson was 3-for-4 at the plate, with James and Benson both getting two hits. Mays pitched a complete game, striking out five.
Fishers is 10-7 and plays Friday at Lawrence Central.

‘Blazers get two dominant victories
University had two dominant performances this past week, beating Faith Christian 21-10 on Monday and Crispus Attucks 16-1 in five innings on Tuesday.
The Trailblazers took control of their Monday game with seven runs in the third inning, then ran away with the seventh inning by scoring 10 runs. Haley Tomlinson was a perfect 4-for-4 at the plate, including a triple. Tomlinson scored five runs and batted in another four.
Lillian Klemsz went 3-for-3, while Kendra Stevens was 3-for-4 with three RBI and two doubles. Both Stevens and Klemsz scored three runs. Elise Nachlis had two runs. Stevens pitched the complete game, tossing 12 strikeouts.
Stevens was even better on Tuesday, tossing a no-hitter. Stevens struck out 14 and issued no walks.
Meanwhile, University scored in every inning. Tatiana Dunipace was 4-for-4, driving in five runs and scoring three more. Lydia Copeland, Klemsz and Grace Brenner all had two hits. Stevens scored four runs. Tomlinson, Klemsz, Brenner and Ria Narayanan all batted in two runs.
The Trailblazers are 5-6 and play the Living Water Marlins on Saturday.

Golden Eagles drop road game at Zionsville
Guerin Catholic dropped a 3-0 game Wednesday at Zionsville.
The Golden Eagles were held to three hits: A seventh-inning double from Alicia Flores, and singles by Ana Macha and Madleyn Buckner. Flores pitched five innings with seven strikeouts, Izzy Kemp tossed six strikeouts in two innings of relief.
Guerin Catholic is 10-7 and plays Friday at Western Boone.

Seventh inning stuns Millers
Noblesville was stunned in the seventh inning Tuesday at Brownsburg, as the Bulldogs scored nine runs to send the Millers to a 14-4 defeat.
The Bulldogs led 4-0 after the first two innings. Noblesville scored two in the fifth, with Chloe Tragesser batting in Rylie Moore and Myah Stuckey getting home after Ella White drew a bases-loaded walk.
But that would be as close as the Millers would get. Brownsburg scored a run to lead 5-2 in the sixth, then had nine hits in the seventh to go up 14-2. Noblesville did score twice in the bottom of the seventh inning, with Emily Minett’s single bringing in Abby Brown and Tragesser, who was 3-for-4 at the plate.
Moore had two hits. Maddie Taylor pitched five innings, striking out five.
Noblesville is 10-6 and plays at 5 p.m. today at Tipton.
