Hamilton Southeastern added another Hoosier Crossroads Conference victory on Wednesday, beating Westfield 3-1 in a home all-county game.
The Royals scored all three of their runs in the second inning. Tori Bricker sent a two-run hit into right field, bringing in Maya Valenta and Natavia Wright. Lilly Palmer scored the third run on Chloe Smith’s RBI groundout.
The Shamrocks scored their run in the third inning. Makayla Watson singled in Annika Lawrence with a left field hit.
Valenta, Wright and Bricker all had one hit for Southeastern. Grace Swedarsky pitched a complete game, striking out 12.
Watson had two hits for Westfield, including a double, with Ava Kainrath and Lawrence getting one hit. Chloe Tanner pitched a complete game, with four strikeouts.
The Royals are 4-2 in conference play and 15-6 overall. Southeastern travels to Fort Wayne Carroll to play games against South Bend St. Joseph at noon and the host Chargers at 2 p.m.
The ‘Rocks are 3-3 in the HCC and 10-9 overall, and host Shelbyville at 5:30 p.m. this afternoon.

Guerin Catholic rolled past Pike 13-1 in a five-inning home game on Wednesday.
The Golden Eagles scored seven runs in the first inning and steadily added to their total from there. Ava Augustinovicz, Izzy Phillips and Lucy Kemp each hit a double, with Kemp collecting two hits.
Anna Mauch, who recently signed to play softball at West Point, drove in two runs and scored two more. Jillian Davis scored three runs, with Madi Cain and Kemp also scoring two runs.
Augustinovicz pitched a complete game. She struck out 11 and allowed only two walks and one hit.
Guerin Catholic is 7-9 and plays Friday at Western Boone.

Fishers cruised past New Palestine 10-4 in a Wednesday home game.
The Tigers scored two runs in the first inning. Adrianne Cook singled in Azstryd Alexander, then Cate Summerfield batted in Kendall Jordan.
The Dragons scored one run each in the second and third innings to tie the game, but Fishers put up four runs in the bottom of the third to take the lead for good. Anna McGrath batted in Jordan with a right field hit, then Brooke Clayton cracked a three-run home run, also scoring Summerfield and McGrath.
Kennedy Shockley sent a two-run hit into center field in the fifth inning, bringing in Grace Waltermann and Summerfield. Kate Murray hit a two-run homer in the sixth inning, also scoring Cook, who had just singled to get on base and finish a 3-for-3 night at the plate.
Summerfield was 3-for-4, while Murray and Clayton both had two hits. Murray pitched a complete game, tossing three strikeouts.
The Tigers are 13-7 and play two home games on Saturday. Fishers welcomes McCutcheon at 10 a.m. and plays Cascade at 1 p.m.

Hamilton Heights dropped a 4-0 Hoosier Conference home game to Logansport on Wednesday.
Kamryn Rhoton had two hits, with Hailey Hall and Melanee Forrester both getting one hit. Heather Crays pitched a complete game, striking out five.
The Huskies are 10-9 and host the Hoosier Conference playoff game on Friday, with the opponent to be determined.
