The Noblesville softball team dropped a 12-7 game to Greenfield-Central on Monday.
The Cougars never trailed, leading 4-0 after three innings. The Millers got on the board in the fourth inning when Delaney Rundle singled in Mack Harvey.
Greenfield put up three runs in the top of the sixth inning to lead 7-1. The Millers got going in the bottom of the sixth with five runs. Gabby Fowler smacked a three-run home run into center field, also scoring Addi Emmerson and Rundle. Emmerson led off the inning with a double. Later, Harvey blasted a two-run homer, also getting Erin Clark home.
But the Cougars scored five runs in the top of the seventh to stay ahead. Noblesville got one more run in the bottom of the seventh; Reis Sjoholm doubled in Rundle. Rundle and Harvey both had two hits for the game.
