The Noblesville softball team picked up a Hoosier Crossroads Conference win Tuesday at Franklin Central 8-3.
The Millers scored one run in each of the first three innings. In the first inning, Reis Sjoholm hit a one-out double, then was later scored by a double from Mack Harvey. Addi Emmerson cracked a solo home run in the second inning. Delaney Rundle led off the third inning with a left field hit, then was bunted home by Sjoholm for a 3-0 lead.
Noblesville opened up the game further in the fourth inning with three runs. Rundle hit a sacrifice fly to bring in Makayla Jacquay, then Sjoholm singled in Tatum Ball and Bella Schatko. Harvey led off the sixth inning with a center field home run, then Gabby Fowler smacked a homer in the seventh inning.
Sjoholm finished the day 3-for-4 at the plate, while Harvey was 2-for-4. Lulu Van Beek went four innings for the pitching win.
The Millers are 2-1 in the conference and 4-3 overall. They travel to Harrison tonight for a game with last year’s Class 4A state runner-up.
