The Sheridan girls soccer team fell to Western Boone 3-2 in a Saturday morning home game.
While the Stars were able to continually gain possession of the ball, Makenna Hammack scored two goals to give Sheridan a 2-1 lead at halftime. But WeBo scored easily on two breakaways in the second half to secure the victory.
Hammack earned player of the game honors for her two unassisted scores. The ‘Hawks host Hoosier Heartland Conference opponent Eastern on Monday.
The Fishers girls, ranked No. 13 team in Class 3A, lost to 3A No. 2 Brebeuf Jesuit 2-0 on Saturday.
The Tigers host Avon Wednesday in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game.
Hamilton Southeastern’s boys, rated No. 4 in 3A, defeated Pike 1-0 on Saturday, moving to 11-1-1 for the season.
Darian Ghaffari scored the Royals’ goal. Strong work from the defense and goalkeeper Michael Flores-Rodriguez helped keep the shutout.
