Submitted by Brake, Brown & Sharp for CCS Board
On Friday afternoon, leading up to the Carmel High School sectional football game, an airplane with a large banner reading: “BRAKE, BROWN & SHARP FOR SCHOOL BOARD” flew the skies above the city and the school football stadium.
“This came as a pleasant surprise to us hearing about it from many people and seeing our names flying over the city,” candidate Adam Sharp said. “We have used our networks to figure out who was behind this. We have been told that we need to keep up our mission of getting elected to the school board, because important things call for big and bold ways to get our names out there to residents of Carmel and that was the generous individual’s reason for making it happen.”
The Brake, Brown, and Sharp campaign (BBS) came together around a common vision of restoring academic excellence and parents’ rights in Carmel Clay Schools. Their focus will be on the policies necessary to achieve this critical academic goal.
There are three seats open on the Carmel Clay School Board this election.
School board races are technically non-partisan and candidates are not pre-selected on straight ticket voting, so voters must go to the last page of the ballot to select three total candidates, one from each of the three districts.
The general election will be held on Nov. 8, with early voting happening now.
