Sheriff’s Office asks you to donate blood

The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will hold a blood drive on Monday, Dec. 16. Give the priceless gift of life this month by donating blood.

Never donated before? Why donate blood? Why does it matter if you donate blood this December?

Simply put, more Hoosiers need blood than available blood donors. A total of 38 percent of the population is eligible to donate blood, but only 7 percent do. If you have never donated before, it is never too late to start.

Have questions regarding if you are eligible to donate? Think you can’t donate? Please feel free to text a blood center representative and ask. The rules and regulations regarding blood donation are constantly changing, so feel free to reach out and double check. You can reach the representative at (317) 517-2689.
