The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office will play host to its first ever on campus Bicycle Rodeo. This rodeo will be presented by members of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Bike Unit. The bicycle rodeo will be open to the first 60 county residents who register.
The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 16 in the front parking lot of the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office, 18100 Cumberland Road, Noblesville.
Deputies will emphasize the importance of wearing a helmet and demonstrate fundamental bicycle riding skills. Basic rules of the road will also be taught while the children ride through an orange traffic cone obstacle course.
“Connecting with the kids in our community is the best part of this event. The fact we are able to also teach the about bicycle safety is an added bonus!” said Sheriff Dennis Quakenbush.
Parents and/or guardians must provide a bicycle in good working condition. Please bring a helmet to this event as they are required. If you are unable to bring a helmet, the Sheriff’s Office will provide one for you. All other items will be provided by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office.
