Sheridan’s boys team got its third consecutive win on Friday, beating rival Clinton Central 53-33 in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game at Larry Hobbs Hall.
The Blackhawks outscored the Bulldogs in all four quarters. Sheridan led 13-8 after one period, with Devon Hamilton pouring in eight points. The ‘Hawks scored 17 points in the second period, including seven from Trey Page, to take a 30-18 halftime lead.
Sheridan rolled through the second half, allowing CC only four points in the fourth quarter. Hamilton scored 11 second-half points, giving him a game-high total of 23. Caleb Wright hit two 3-pointers in the second half, and three for the game. He finished with 15 points.
Wright also had eight rebounds, five assists and four steals, while Hamilton blocked two shots. Jax Peerman collected seven rebounds, with Chance Spencer and Hamilton both pulling five.
Sheridan is 2-0 in conference play and 4-1 overall. The ‘Hawks continue conference play next Friday when they host Eastern.
