Sheridan referendum letter from Sheridan Community Recreation, Inc. Executive Board Members

Dear Editor:

Sheridan Community Recreation, Inc. (SCRI) has long valued our relationship with Sheridan Community Schools. Throughout the years, the relationship that SCRI has with Sheridan Elementary, Middle, and High Schools has only continued to grow and get stronger. Without the cooperative use of Sheridan Community Schools’ (SCS) facilities, many sports that SCRI offers wouldn’t be possible. The fact that SCS both provides and maintains facilities that SCRI uses allows us to offer a variety of programs. Both SCRI and SCS work with, and positively impact, the children within our community.

We value what SCS does for our children and our community; they help SCRI provide our community with the very best while also looking to the future. Again, the partnership we have with SCS is very important. A financially strong Sheridan Community Schools is better able to provide and maintain the facilities that allow SCRI to competitively provide youth sports programs to the children of the Sheridan community.

Respectfully submitted,

Sheridan Community Recreation, Inc. Executive Board Members:

Joe Grinstead, SCRI President

Mike Mackintosh, SCRI Vice-President

Michelle Westermeier, SCRI Treasurer

Margaret McKinney, SCRI Treasurer

Pat Lafave, Sergeant of Arms
