In honor of the 75th anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, the most notorious concentration camp in the Holocaust, the Sheridan Public Library, 103 W. 1st St., will offer a public showing of the documentary Eva: A-7063: A Holocaust survivor’s fight to heal the world.
The showing will take place from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30 in the Community Room of the library.
At the age of 10, Eva Mozes Kor fought through the worst the Holocaust had to offer – being experimented on as one of “Mengele’ s twins” at Auschwitz. At 50, she helped launch the biggest manhunt in history. At 84, after decades of pain and anger, she traveled the world to promote what her life journey has taught: Hope. Healing. Humanity.
Kor was a resident of Terre Haute for 59 years prior to her death on July 4, 2019.
Interested community members should call (317) 758-5201 for further information about the showing.
