Sheridan’s girls basketball team picked up its fifth straight win on Tuesday, beating Bethesda Christian on the road 32-26.
The Patriots led 6-4 after the first quarter, but the Blackhawks outscored Bethesda over the next three periods. Sheridan cut the Patriots’ lead to 15-14 by halftime, then went ahead in the third quarter, outscoring Bethesda 11-5 to take a 25-20 advantage.
Kenzie Garner reached double-double status with 23 points and 12 rebounds. Chaney Smith added six points, and Ashley Webel completed the scoring with three points. Jacquellynne Bates collected nine rebounds, while Shelby Eaton pulled six rebounds. Bates, Lilly Chesney and Nova Cross all played strong defense.
The Blackhawks are 10-8 and play at Delphi Friday in a Hoosier Heartland Conference girls-boys doubleheader.
