Sheridan’s girls team dropped a tough game at Western Boone on Tuesday, 46-44.
It was a back-and-forth contest, with the Blackhawks leading 12-7 after one quarter, then the Stars coming back to take a 21-20 advantage by halftime. Sheridan came running back in the third period to lead 36-30, with Ashley Webel scoring 10 points in that quarter. But WeBo took over in the fourth, outscoring the ‘Hawks 16-8 to get the win.
Webel and Kenzie Garner both scored 12 points for Sheridan. Garner also led the rebounds with nine, followed by Lilly Chesney with six. Garner also had five steals.
The Blackhawks are 2-4 and host Frankfort next Tuesday.
