Sheridan girls easily beat Tri-Central, maintain perfect conference record

Sheridan’s girls cruised to another Hoosier Heartland Conference victory on Friday, beating Tri-Central 63-33 at Larry Hobbs Gymnasium in the first game of a girls-boys doubleheader.

The Blackhawks led 17-7 after one quarter, then extended their lead to 37-18 by halftime. Sheridan held a 47-31 lead after three periods, then ran away with the fourth quarter by outscoring the Trojans 16-2.

Three ‘Hawks players scored in double figures. Kenzie Garner reached double-double status with 19 points and 11 rebounds; she also made six steals and dished out four assists. Cecilia Timme scored 18 points and had six steals. Nova Cross threw in three 3-pointers on her way to 15 points. Sadie Timme collected five rebounds and Shelby Eaton made four steals.

Sheridan is unbeaten in the conference at 4-0 and 13-1 overall. The Blackhawks play another home game Tuesday, taking on Lapel.
