Two free throws by Ethan Moistner clinched a big victory for Sheridan on Tuesday, as the Blackhawks beat Frankfort 52-51 at Larry Hobbs Gym.
It was a topsy-turvy game, with Sheridan leading 11-6 after one quarter and 29-11 at halftime. The Hot Dogs came roaring back in the third quarter, cutting the Blackhawks’ lead to 38-30 by the end of the period.
In the fourth quarter, Frankfort got up by four, but Corbin Murray hit a 3-pointer to get Sheridan within one. Later, with 1.7 seconds left in the game, Moistner was fouled and made both shots to get the win.
Moistner finished the game with 22 points, including four 3-pointers, and eight rebounds. Silas DeVaney and Keenan Warren both added eight points. Kyle Eden dished out six assists, with Cayden Hunter sending out four assists. Murray and Warren each had four steals.
Sheridan is 8-6 for the season and is back home tonight to host Clinton Prairie in a Hoosier Heartland Conference game.
