Sheridan concluded a busy week on a winning note, beating Cascade 58-47 Saturday night at Larry Hobbs Gym.
The game was close in the first three quarters. The Blackhawks led 12-7 after the first period; Kyle Eden helped out with seven Sheridan points. The ‘Hawks extended their lead to 26-20 by halftime, but then saw the Cadets come back to tie the game at 34-34 by the end of the third quarter.
But Sheridan took over in the fourth quarter, pouring in 24 points. Ethan Moistner started the period with a 3-pointer, then seconds later made a steal. Cayden Hunter got the ball and threw in a 3-pointer, then Silas DeVaney hit two free throws. The Blackhawks cruised from there.
Eden finished with 20 points, while DeVaney and Moistner both chipped in 14 points. Moistner drained three 3s and pulled five rebounds. Corbin Murray and Eden both dished out four assists.
“When you play four games in five days, getting three out of four is really good with the teams we play, because we were probably the underdog in three at least,” said Sheridan coach Tod Windlan.
The ‘Hawks are 10-7 and play at Lapel on Tuesday.
