Sharon J. Williams

September 12, 1939 – February 19, 2024

Sharon Joan (Fosnight) Williams, 84, Westfield, and formerly of Sheridan, died peacefully at home on Monday, February 19, 2024.

Sharon was born on September 12, 1939, the daughter of Henry Fosnight and Madge (Alexander) Keeling. She attended Sheridan High School and graduated from Westfield High School as an adult in 1970.

On November 16, 1956, she was united in marriage to James (Jim) Edward Williams.

Sharon worked in clerical positions at Public Service Indiana and Fort Benjamin Harrison; however, spent most of her career as a full-time homemaker raising her three children. She enjoyed traveling to California to visit her family with her husband, Jim, upon his retirement in 1992.

Sharon enjoyed family, reading, and was an amazing cook and seamstress.

On November 7, 2008, Sharon lost the love of her life when Jim passed away after 51 years of marriage.

Sharon is survived by her three children: sons Steven Williams (Becky Boulds) of Bridgeport, Ill., and James Williams of Florissant, Mo., and daughter Elizabeth Roberts-Kurtt (Timothy Kurtt) of St. Paul, Minn. She is also survived by a brother, Jerry Fosnight (Holly Stern) of Fairfield, Calif.; nine grandchildren, Karen Garman (Kevin), Christina Miller (Otis), Rachel Tucker (Adam), Sarah Adams (Jonathon), Matthew Williams (Allison), Abigail Willliams (Joshua), Paul Williams, Emily Roberts, and Hannah Roberts; and 10 great-grandchildren, Noah and Natalie Garman, Baylee and Cecilia Miller, Benjamin and William Tucker, Aiden Fiore and EIi Adams, and Samuel and Zachary Williams.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Jim, and sister Janet (Fosnight) Gates.

Graveside Funeral Services are planned for 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 1, 2024, at Oak Hill Cemetery, 935 E. Washington St., Lebanon, Ind.

Myers Mortuary in Lebanon has been entrusted with her arrangements for burial.
