Sharel Ann Burress

July 15, 1938 – April 18, 2018

Sharel Ann Burress, 79, went to be in the loving arms of her Savior and Friend, Jesus, on April 18, 2018. She is breathing celestial air and walking on streets of gold!

Sharel was born on July 15, 1938, in Linton, Ind., to Ray and Polly Richardson. She was a member of the East Side Pilgrim Holiness Church in Evansville where she was very active before moving to Westfield. She lived for her husband and children. She showed her love to them and others by acts of service. She was known for her beautiful smile. Most of all, she loved her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. She lived a life of faithfulness to God and was an example to all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family but has reached her goal in life and is with Jesus, the One she loved most.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James Burress, and her father, Ray Richardson. She is survived by her mother, Polly; her four children, Kathy Ann Tilley (Dan), Florence, Ky., Rebecca Sue Glick (Jerald), Westfield, James Keith Burress, Huntsville, Ala., Stephen Wesley Burress, Nashville, Tenn.; daughter-in-law Rebecca (Bailey) Burress, Greenwood, Ind.; eight grandchildren, Kristen Beers (Trevor), Jennifer Alexander (Phil), Jessica McBride (Rod), Ashley Tilley, Jonathan Glick (Jalena), Kirk Burress (Brittany), Jananne Stetler (Kent) and Jeffrey Glick; 10 great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Carol White and Alice Burress, Linton, Ind.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday April 20, 2018 at Randall and Roberts Funeral Center, 1685 Westfield Road, Noblesville, with Pastor John Forsee officiating. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. on Thursday April 19, 2018, and from 10 to 11 a.m. on Friday April 20, 2018, prior to service at the Funeral Home. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery in Linton, Ind.
