Shamrocks boys take control, easily beat Richmond

The Westfield boys basketball team beat Richmond 71-21 last Saturday on the road.

The Shamrocks were in control from the start, leading 19-4 after one quarter. Westfield then shut out the Red Devils in the second period, not allowing them a point while scoring 23 points. The ‘Rocks led 42-4 at halftime and the entire second half was played under a running clock. Westfield led 62-11 after three quarters.

Four Shamrocks reached double figures. Cam Haffner made three 3-pointers on his way to 14 points. Durante Morton scored 13 points, while Will Harvey and Jalen Malone each added 11 points. Luke Vandegriff scored nine points.

Westfield is 6-1 and plays Saturday at Marion.
