Westfield picked up its first win of the season on Saturday, going on the road to beat Pendleton Heights 52-41.
The Shamrocks started the game strong, leading 18-7 after the first quarter. The Arabians cut Westfield’s lead to 28-23 by halftime, but the ‘Rocks toughened up their defense and made free throws down the stretch to pull away in the fourth quarter.
Alyssa Crockett and Olivia Robey both scored 17 points for Westfield. During the game, Crockett passed the 1,000-point mark for her career, and also collected eight rebounds. Robey hit two 3-pointers and made four steals; both she and Hailey Remaks pulled four rebounds each.
The Shamrocks are 1-1 and host Tri-West on Tuesday.
