Dear Editor:
I read with interest Carmel city officials dedicating a patch of city grass to outgoing council member Ron Carter.
After 24 years’ worth of spending other peoples’ money and backing the mayor virtually round the clock, a few square yards of grass is some reward.
Of course, that grass and surrounding buildings don’t belong to the city. The banks and bond holders hold title. I wonder if they’re being asked to approve.
And, in the future, will politicians reward outgoing prodigals with their own roundabouts?
