Shaffer ponders another non-run for ‘non-mayor’

Dear Editor:

For several weeks friends and neighbors have been after me to run this November in Carmel for another term as non-mayor.

I’m torn.

On the one hand, I’ve been a non-mayor for as long as I can remember.

On the other hand, politics in Carmel has gotten really ugly lately and someone’s liable to discover I got a D in conduct in the seventh grade.

I would welcome any reader suggestions. Please watch your language. Children might read this stuff.

Humbly, I don’t know if I can properly handle a $1.4 billion debt or keep track of all the contractors who owe the city favors – and show it.

So, consider the options and please let me know on the Non-Mayor page on Facebook.

Bill Shaffer
