At 4:48 p.m. last Friday, May 17, Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputies were dispatched to the area of State Road 38 and Spring Mill Road regarding a serious crash.
Upon arrival, it was determined a total of four vehicles involved. A truck traveling eastbound rear-ended a car in front of it, then the truck crossed left-of-center, striking an SUV head-on that was traveling westbound. The fourth vehicle was stuck with flying debris from the rear-ended car.
Two patients were transported by air ambulance – one adult and one juvenile with serious injuries. Three more patients were transported by ground ambulance. The injured were transported to Methodist Hospital, St. Vincent Hospital, and Riley Children’s Hospital.
The Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Reconstruction Team is investigating the crash.
