Several improvements coming to Carmel’s Meadowlark Park this year

On April 1, Meadowlark Park in Carmel will close to undergo planned improvements as part of Carmel Clay Parks & Recreation’s (CCPR) Reimagining Parks initiative. Through this initiative, CCPR is working to update and enhance existing parks to make them more accessible, safer, and available year-round.

Improvements to Meadowlark Park will include a new playground, four pickleball courts, a full basketball court, a boardwalk through restored wetlands, a new fishing pier, a year-round restroom facility, a parking lot expansion, and more. The park is anticipated to reopen after construction is completed in December.

The Clay Township Impact Program is funding these improvements. Over the next three years, the Clay Township Impact Program will fund improvements to six parks in the local community with a focus on parks and public safety. These improvements will provide benefits for all township residents, schools and businesses, and make Clay Township a better place to live, work, and play.
