Several county players will participate in All-Star Classic

Several Hamilton County volleyball players will get to play one more match on Sunday.

The Indiana High School Volleyball Coaches Association announced its lineups for the 2022 Indiana All-Star Classic, which is set for Sunday at Lawrence North. First up is the Junior All-Star game, which begins at 1 p.m., followed by the 1A/2A All-Star game at 2:30 p.m. The day concludes with the 3A/4A All-Star game at 4 p.m.

Four county players will compete for the North All-Stars in the Junior All-Star game. Three are from Hamilton Southeastern: Breonna Goss, Lauren Harden and Tiffany Snook. The fourth is Noblesville’s Riley Resmer.

In the 3A/4A All-Star game, six county players are in the North All-Stars lineup. They are: Carmel’s Emily Waddell, Fishers’ Margo Hernandez and Ava Vickers, Noblesville’s Ava Harris, Hamilton Southeastern’s Avery Hobson and Westfield’s Mallory Neale. Southeastern coach Jason Young will be one of the two coaches of the North team.

A total of 28 players were named to both the Junior and the 3A/4A All-Star teams, out of nearly 170 juniors that tried out for the Junior team and nearly 160 that tried out for the 3A/4A team.
