Fishers Fire and Emergency Services, along with city officials, broke ground on Tuesday on the city’s seventh fire station. Located in northeast Fishers on 136th Street near Prairie Baptist Road, the new 13,600 square-foot station will house an engine and medic unit. Construction is anticipated to take 12 to 15 months.
Many residents of Britton Falls, a community of nearly 1,800 homes of residents age 55 and older, came out to celebrate the ground breaking. This station is anticipated to reduce response times significantly to this area of Fishers
The station, a near duplicate of the station recently rebuilt on Allisonville Road near the airport, was designed by DELV and will be built by BW Construction Company.
