Serve Noblesville, the leading community-driven organization committed to fostering unity and positive change, has announced the resounding success of its 2023 Program Year.

Through a series of impactful events and innovative campaigns, Serve Noblesville has once again demonstrated its dedication to bringing residents, nonprofits, businesses, and organizations together to create a stronger and more vibrant community.

One highlight of the program year was the highly anticipated Come Together Week, a week-long celebration of unity and community engagement that brought together people from all walks of life as the community was invited to host events that others could attend. From May 24 to 31, neighbors, businesses, and organizations joined hands in various activities that celebrated diversity, promoted collaboration, and spread a sense of togetherness throughout the city. The success of this event is a testament to the power of community spirit.

Hoodox, a local nonprofit that supports Indiana-based documentaries, held a watch party at the Lacy Arts Building in Noblesville showing three documentaries telling local stories. The Starbucks on Clover Road by Walmart invited the community to come connect on their patio with various games and activities.

A standout event during Come Together Week was the Longest Table, an inspiring initiative in partnership with local nonprofit organizations. This event gathered 50 community members representing 12 nonprofits around a 60-foot table stretching across Seminary Park, where they shared stories, built connections, and supported one another. The Longest Table showcased the impact that collaborative efforts can have on making Noblesville an even better place to live and thrive. Serve Noblesville will grow this event, inviting the community and additional nonprofits to join in hopes of eventually setting a new Guiness World Record (currently a 2.1-mile-long table) and adding a nonprofit expo where the community can learn about the wide variety of nonprofits and how they uniquely serve the community.

The excitement continued with the inclusion of FUN Fest as part of the much-celebrated HATCH Fest, which is hosted by Nickel Plate Arts. This fusion of fun and creativity brought an energetic atmosphere to the city, engaging individuals of all ages in activities that ranged from arts and crafts to live performances. FUN Fest underscored the importance of infusing food, unity, and neighbors into community-building efforts.

As a grand finale, the community came together once again for Serve Week, an annual event that epitomizes Serve Noblesville’s commitment to service. During this week, volunteers dedicated their time to various service projects aimed at addressing local needs, enhancing infrastructure, and improving the quality of life for all residents. Overall, 76 projects were completed and over 730 volunteers were mobilized over four days.

Serve Noblesville has an exciting fall ahead as they plan to launch a number of new initiatives that will impact Noblesville and surrounding communities. Primarily it is excited to introduce two new membership campaigns that will further its mission of creating a stronger community fabric. Serve Neighbors welcomes families and individuals to join hands in supporting local initiatives, fostering deeper connections among neighbors.

On the business front, Serve Patrons offers an opportunity for businesses to actively participate in shaping the community’s growth while gaining exposure and recognition for their commitment to social responsibility.

“Each year, we are humbled by the incredible unity and enthusiasm displayed by the residents of Noblesville,” Serve Noblesville President Michelle Schmidt said. “The success of our 2023 Program Year is a testament to the unwavering spirit of community that resides in our city. We look forward to building upon this momentum and continuing our journey towards a brighter future together.”

Serve Noblesville’s 2023 Program Year has indeed left an indelible mark on the city, showcasing the incredible results that can be achieved when individuals, nonprofits, businesses, and organizations work hand in hand. The organization remains steadfast in its commitment to fostering unity, promoting positive change, and creating a lasting impact on the community.
