Noblesville High School sweeps Scholastic Writing Awards . . .
Noblesville High School (NHS) had 16 writers honored this year with Scholastic Writing Awards, including the most Gold Key awards of any high school in central Indiana and a new record for honorees from NHS.
Senior Abby Hanson received the special recognition of being named the overall Gold Key winner for Indiana. All Gold Key works will go on to be judged at a national level.
The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards is the nation’s largest, longest-running and most prestigious recognition program for creative teenagers in the visual and literary arts.
Through the Scholastic Awards, teens in grades 7-12 from public, private or home schools can apply in 29 categories of art and writing for their chance to earn scholarships and have their works exhibited and published. Nearly 350,000 works were submitted for the 2019 awards.
