Sen. Todd Young votes to move forward on infrastructure bill

Young

U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) issued the following statement Wednesday regarding his vote to begin debate on the Senate’s bipartisan infrastructure bill:

“As the Crossroads of America, Indiana understands the need for federal investment in our crumbling infrastructure, especially with nearly 5,500 miles of Hoosier highways in poor condition. That’s why I voted today to formally begin debate on a bipartisan infrastructure bill. We’ve made a lot of progress so far on an historic investment in our nation’s core infrastructure that will be fully paid for without raising taxes. I look forward to continuing to work with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle as we sand and polish the final product.”

You have played into the hands of the Democrats. You talk of your concern about but you vote for a 2 trillion infrastructure bill that will certainly be followed by a 3 trillion socialists dream bill passed by a simple majority vote through reconciliation. Senator Schumer has already told what he is going to do.
I supported you in the past but I wondering why at this point. It’s not too late to change your mind because the first bill was supposed to be paid-for. I’m very disappointed Senator Young.

  2. Seriously you sold Indiana out, you are playing right into the hands of the Dems.

VOTE NO TO INFRASTRUCTURE BILL STAND UP FOR IND DO YOUR JOB FOR A CHANGE

  4. VOTE NO ON THE INFRASTRUCTURE BILL! You are a coward if you stand with the socialist Dems, and as a constituent I am DISGUSTED that you would have to think twice about this.

  5. Do you really think the left is bipartisan? Don’t you see what is going on in America? Have you read the infrastructure bill? I understand the amount of money going to roads, bridges, etc is minimal. The rest will be squandered on leftist, progressive (socialist) green new deal. I’m a Christian conservative, where do I go when the Republicans let me down!

Please don’t agree with this very
One and costly bill. I would rather fix the roads without consenting to the socialist control, and liberal agenda of the D. It is reported that concession to legalize men in women’s bathrooms along with other non transportation issues are embedded. Senator Young, this does not match your values financially or morally for our state.

Better to have a seat at the table & be in a position to eliminate the knucklehead stuff.
Whoda thought ; Todd Young the pragmatist.
