On Wednesday evening, U.S. Senator Mike Braun (R-Ind.) released the following statement on Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer’s (D-N.Y.) unprecedented dismissal of the impeachment trial against DHS Secretary Mayorkas.
“President Biden’s allies in the Senate voted down the Mayorkas impeachment trial because they don’t want to talk about the truth: President Biden broke the law by opening our border to the world and it’s costing Americans their lives,” Sen. Braun said. “Democrats are setting a precedent for dismissing Senate rules they simply don’t agree with, and the implications of this day will ripple through American politics forever.”
I don’t get it. He voted against border security.
It is because there was no money in this bill for closing the southern border.
