See White River through eyes of an angler this week

Follow DNR Go FishIN coordinator Clint Kowalik on Sept. 20 and 21 as he travels the White River on a fishing adventure.

This fifth annual trip is part of the White River Festival. For more information, visist whiteriverfestival.org.

On the first day of the trip, Kowalik will fish through Muncie along the White River Greenway, stop at Yorktown and Daleville, and finish at Mounds State Park. On the second day, he will continue the trip by stopping at several public access sites from Noblesville through Indianapolis.

Fisheries biologists Corey DeBoom and Nick Haunert will continue the trip by fishing at two sites near Martinsville. At each stop, they’ll fish, take photos and talk about the fish and the habitat in that area.

Check out photos throughout the day on Twitter at @INfishwildlife and at facebook.com/INfishandwildlife. You also can meet them at the river at one of the following sites and times – maybe you’ll discover your next favorite fishing spot.
