The Reverend Peyton’s Big Damn Band is coming to Jams at the Junction in Westfield on Friday, June 2 as part of the Hamilton County Bicentennial Celebration.

Billed as “the greatest front-porch blues band in the world,” band is led by Rev. Peyton, who has earned a reputation as both a singularly compelling performer and a persuasive evangelist for the rootsy, country blues styles that captured his imagination early in life and inspired him and his band to make pilgrimages to Clarksdale, Miss., to study under such blues masters as T-Model Ford, Robert Belfour and David “Honeyboy” Edwards.

The band’s latest record Dance Songs For Hard Times went No. 1 on the Billboard, iTunes and Sirius XM Blues charts and was produced by Grammy winner Vance Powell (Jack White, Chris Stapleton). Learn more at BigDamnBand.com.

Rev. Peyton was born and raised in Westfield. He graduated from Westfield High School in 1999 and most of his family still resides in the city. His band is a world-renown bluegrass group and they’re about to embark on a world tour.

Come enjoy this free concert beginning at 7 p.m. on Friday, June 2 at Grand Junction Plaza, 225 S. Union St. Westfield. Kassey King will open at 6 p.m.
