People have moved to online shopping as both a convenience and a time saver in this modern world. Walmart is trying to help both the customer who wants the convenience of a local brick and mortar store and the one who wants the efficiency of not having to spend time in that store to shop by offering new options in Hamilton County.

Noblesville Walmart now offers customers the ability to place an order online and pick it up at the store in a variety of ways and avoid all those annoying lines.

Noblesville Walmart Store Manager Travis Siever told the Reporter, “Our biggest focus is giving different choices and conveniences trying to make the shopping experience faster and better.”

One way they are doing that is with online ordering of groceries with reserved parking spaces where employees will bring your items out to your car and even load them for you.

“On Walmart.com you are able to order your groceries online, along with other things like toothpaste, dog food and most items in the store,” Sevier said. “Then you select the time you want to pick them up, either the next day or later the same day. We will have the order ready when you come. When you get here you let us know you are here either through the Walmart app or by calling a store phone. Then we have you order out to you very promptly. It saves a busy mom who doesn’t have the time to come in and spend two hours at the store. It saves her time and money for us to pull out and load the groceries for her.”

This service began at the Noblesville Walmart in May.

“It is a service that is growing every day,” Siever said. “I have taken some orders out to customers’ car personally and I have heard nothing but great things. If I had heard anything negative I’d let Walmart know, but I am hearing nothing but great feedback from customers who enjoy it and are happy we have it.”

Another option customers have is a large orange tower inside the store where they can pick up items they have ordered online and had shipped to the store.

“That is another innovation that we have,” Siever said. “Our customers here in Noblesville and throughout the country tell us that saving time is just as important as saving money. They want to be able to get in and get out. With the tower, they order something online that gets shipped to the store. They don’t have to pay shipping cost because it gets shipped to the store within a few days. Then we put it in the tower and they get an alert that the item is here to be picked up. In the store they put in their information either by using their phone or by keying it in themselves at the tower and within a few seconds their item is there for them to take out.”

Siever told The Reporter he believes his store is definitely moving in the right direction.

“It is an exciting time here for us,” Siever said. “Our company definitely leads the retail field in innovations and we going to continue to roll out these things in many stores. The goal is to make the shopping experience quicker, faster and better. Customers want to save time and money.”

These new and efficient shopping options are currently available at all three Walmart locations in Hamilton County.
