Saturation patrol targeting dangerous & impaired drivers resulted in eight arrests

This past weekend, the Indiana State Police Pendleton District conducted a saturation patrol across the eight counties in the district with the primary focus on impaired driving.

The targeted patrols ran throughout the weekend. Troopers worked on days off and moved their shifts to have an increased presence during the targeted patrol times.

The saturation patrols resulted in the following:

  • 313 traffic stops
  • 16 criminal cases drawn
  • 8 arrests for operating while intoxicated
  • 2 warrant arrests
  • 1 arrest for resisting law enforcement with a vehicle
  • 1 arrest for habitual traffic violator
  • 1 arrest for operating while never receiving a license
  • 1 arrest for possession of cocaine
  • 6 arrests for possession of marijuana
  • 2 arrests for possession of paraphernalia

The State Police is committed to making Indiana roadways safer by continuing to conduct saturation patrols to locate and apprehend impaired drivers. Remember, designate a sober driver or use ride-sharing companies.
