Around the Square

In the early hours Wednesday morning, Santa’s House was delivered to the Courthouse Square. Much discussion had taken place by the City about moving Santa’s House over the past few weeks, only to discover it was owned by the Hamilton County Historical Society, who had no plans of moving it.

The Historical Society, along with Noblesville Main Street and the Noblesville Chamber of Commerce, will be working together to make sure Santa’s House is up and running. Hamilton County Building and Grounds led by Steve Wood will maintain and store the House, along with completing any necessary upgrades to make it ADA compliant.

You can be a part of the celebration. The Historical Society will be accepting donations to help support and maintain Santa’s House. Donations can be made payable and mailed to Hamilton County Historical Society with “Santa” listed on the memo line. Their address is 810 Conner St., Noblesville, IN 46060.

The Historical Society will be hiring professional Santas to greet the kids over the holiday season. Santa will be paid and must apply and pass a background check.

On Nov. 25, following the Noblesville Christmas Parade, Santa will arrive at his House at 3 p.m. and greet children until 6 p.m.

Then on Dec. 7 at the First Friday events on the Square, join Santa from 5 to 9 p.m.

Saturday hours will be noon to 5 p.m. on Dec. 1, 8, 15 and 22.

Sunday hours will be 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Dec. 2, 9, 16 and 23.

As the holiday season draws near, make your plans now to visit downtown Noblesville and the Historic Courthouse Square for your shopping, dining and entertainment activities.
