Ryan Glenn Duffy, 29, Fishers, formerly of Macomb, Mich., passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019 in Fishers. He was born on January 24, 1990 to Glenn and Karen (Seiple) Duffy in Raleigh, N.C.
Ryan’s greatest passions were teaching and Harry Potter. He taught high school math and computer courses, and loved his students dearly. Ryan found tremendous joy in helping his students succeed. He was an avid Harry Potter fan from the first book and an expert on every detail of the series. Ryan loved to travel, explore new places, and learn new things.
He is survived by his parents; sister, Amanda Duffy; brother, Kevin Duffy; grandmothers, Helen Duffy and Gail Seiple; aunts, Kristine (Joseph) Serowik, Renee (Larry) Yoder and Kathleen Duffy; uncle, Steve (Rebecca) Seiple; and cousins, Jessica Yoder, Joseph Yoder, Mackenzie Yoder, Tyler (Amy) Seiple, Kelsey (Thomas) Hart, Joseph (Erin) Serowik and Thomas Serowik.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Glenn D. Duffy and Adelbert H. Seiple, Jr.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church, 620 Romeo Road, Rochester, MI 48307. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the church.
An additional memorial service will be held at 7 p.m. on Friday, October 11, 2019 at Garfield Memorial United Methodist Church, 3650 Lander Road, Pepper Pike, OH 44124.
