Hickory Hoops Basketball has announced the addition of two standout names in the basketball world – Brandon Rush and Dwayne Gibson, Jr. – to lead and elevate the organization’s dynamic training program for athletes in central Indiana and beyond.
Brandon Rush, former NBA player and 2015 NBA Champion with the Golden State Warriors, brings elite experience to Hickory Hoops after an impressive professional career that also included time with the Indiana Pacers, the Utah Jazz, and a national title with the Kansas Jayhawks in 2008. Known for his lockdown defense, championship pedigree, and basketball IQ, Rush’s leadership will be instrumental in helping our players reach the next level.
Joining him is Dwayne Gibson, Jr., one of Indiana’s most respected up-and-coming trainers. He is a two-time IHSAA 2A State Champion and a two-times Marion County Champion at Park Tudor and played a key role in a deep NCAA DII Elite 8 run at now-powerhouse Nova Southeastern University. His energy, attention to detail, and ability to connect with athletes make him an ideal mentor for the next generation of stars.
“We’re building something special here,” Gibson said. “With Brandon’s championship background and my roots in fundamental basketball, we’re all-in on helping kids maximize their potential.”
Together, Rush and Gibson will drive Hickory Hoops’ robust training program, helping athletes sharpen their skills, understand the game at a deeper level, and prepare for high-level competition. Their leadership marks a significant step forward in Hickory Hoops’ mission to develop dynamic teams and open doors for future opportunities – from high school to college and beyond.
Stay tuned for announcements on training sessions, team tryouts, and special events – because the future of Indiana basketball is happening now at Hickory Hoops.
Registration for Summer Session (June to August) closes Friday, June 13.
