Royals swimming sweeps Millers

In the season-opener for both schools, the Hamilton Southeastern swim teams swept Noblesville in a Tuesday dual meet.
The Royals girls team won 140-46, taking all 12 events. Ava Olson was first in the 200 freestyle and butterfly, while Anna Stolle paced the individual medley and 500 free. Other individual winners were Ash Saple in the 50 free, Hannah Justice in diving, Audrey Crawford in the 100 free, Grace Newton in the backstroke and Kennedy Fisher in the breaststroke. Southeastern also swept all three relays. The Millers’ Sophie Resner was second in the 200 free and backstroke, as were Maya McDonald in the 100 free and breaststroke and Emily Knott in the butterfly.
Southeastern’s boys team won 115-71, claiming seven events. Jack Waren got wins in the 200 and 500 freestyles. Other individual Royals winners were Chouchi Ding in the 50 free, Jihoon Jung in the butterfly and Ryan Harrison in the backstroke. HSE also won the medley and 400 free relays.
Noblesville’s Aidan Biddle was first in the IM and breaststroke. Parker Mutter won diving, Wyatt Wade paced the 100 free and the Millers were first in the 200 free relay.
