Royals lacrosse sweeps Mudsock games

The Hamilton Southeastern lacrosse teams swept the Mudsock games this week.
On Tuesday, the Royals girls team beat Fishers 18-0 to keep the Mudsock trophy. Southeastern’s defense allowed the Tigers only one shot on goal for the who game. Sydney Schena had two ground balls, one caused turnover and an interception, while Kendall Borgert also had a caused turnover and interception.
On the offensive side, Sarah Gastineau scored five goals and had three draw controls. She also played well on defense, with one ground ball, one caused turnover and one interception.Sidney Sloan and Ellie Fitzpatrick each scored three goals, with Sloan also handing out an assist. Sam Borgert and Stella Fisher both put in two goals, with Borgert getting seven draw controls. Alexis Green, Jessie Lyons and Emma Reichart each scored one goal; Lyons dished out two assists.

Southeastern’s boys team won the Mudsock trophy with an 8-2 win over Fishers.
Louden Sundling scored four goals for the Royals, with Connor Ruhnow adding two goals. Garrett Smith and Kai Trott both had one goal.
On defense, Colin Krekeler had a strong goalkeeper game with 14 saves. Southeastern had 10 caused turnovers, four from Aidan Hoener, three from Nolan Knies, two from Dillon O’Rourke and one from Quinn Shefferly. That group also combined for 11 groundballs; with Hoener getting four, Knies three, and O’Rourke and Shefferly two each.
