Hamilton Southeastern finished its regular season with a victory on the road, beating Pike 64-50.
The Class 4A No. 1 Royals led 20-14 after the first quarter, then turned up its defense in the second period, allowing the Red Devils only three points. Southeastern led 33-17 at halftime, then increased that advantage to 50-31 after three quarters.
Sydney Parrish led the Royals with 21 points, while Malea Jackson made four 3-pointers on her way to 19 points. Amaya Hamilton added 14 points and pulled nine rebounds.
Parrish grabbed seven rebounds, with Molly Walton and Tayah Irvin both handing out four assists.
The Royals are 21-1 and will await the winner of a first-round sectional game between Fishers and Anderson, which will be played next Tuesday at HSE. Southeastern plays that winner on Friday, Feb. 1 in the Sectional 8 semi-finals.
